Special Cover on Late Dr. Shreenivas - the first cardiologist of India – 30th December 2017.

Late Dr. Shreenivas was trained at Harvard University with Dr. Paul D White, the father of modern cardiology. Dr. Shreenivas came back to India to start the first Cardiology Institute at Patna as its Founder Director. Later this institute came to be known as 'Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology. He used his cardiology expertise to develop ' Shreenivas 's E V Method of Identification', a novel method of personal identification based on ECG criteria. Dr. Shreenivas also developed 'Polypathy' a system of treating patients that integrates the best of care from various therapies - both eastern and western- in an effort to deliver personalized care to each patient. His deep belief in a higher power and his scientific background showed him a novel approach to global ethics and spirituality - something he coined as 'spiritometry' on which he delivered a speech in the Second Conference of the Parliament of World's Religions in Chicago in 1993. He penned several literary books as well.

A special cover was released on 30th December 2017 at Patna by Shree Satyapal Malik, the Governor of Bihar, to honor Late Dr. Shreenivas - the first cardiologist of India. (Special Cover Approval No. BH - 03/November 2017).

Special Cover to Commemorate Completion of 50 Years on awarding Jnanpith Award to Rashtrakavi Kuvempu's Sri Ramayana Darshanam - 28th December 2017.

"Jnanpith" is an Indian highest literary award. The first prestigious Jnanpith Award for Kannada language was awarded in the year 1967 to famous Kannada writer "Rashtrakavi Kuvempu" (Sri Kuppali Venkatappa Puttappa) for his epic literary work "Sri Ramayana Darshanam".

Special Cover on Birth Centenary of Shri Shivalinga Mahashivayogi – 26th December 2017.

A Special Cover was released at Haveri to commemorate the birth centenary of Shri Shivalinga Mahashivayogi (2017-18) and in the remembrance of Shri Shivabasava Mahashivayogi of Shri Hukkeri Math, Haveri, the gateway of North Kamataka, which is well known as "Mari Kalyan" and also known for its 'Cardamom fragrance'. Special Cancellation on Bihar Sikh Circuit - 22nd December 2017.

A Special Cancellation was released along with 12 picture postcards featuring important Gurudwaras of Bihar, creating a Sikh Circuit on 22nd December 2017 at Patna. The Cancellation depicts 'Ek Omkar' in Gurumukhi script and a message ‘Jin Prem Kiyo Tinhe Prabh Payo’ on Universal Love.
