Indian Postal Stationery

Postal Stationery comprises postal matter, such as a stamped envelope, letter sheet, post card, lettercard, aerogram or wrapperwhich either bears an officially authorised pre-printed stamp or device or inscription indicating that a specific face value of postage or related service has been prepaid. The term can be considered synonymous with the expression POSTAGE PAID stationery.

Meghdoot Post Cards

India Post introduced Meghdoot Post Card on 2nd September 2002. It is priced at 25 paise that is half the cost of the regular post card. The writing space is available only on the back side of post card. On the address side beside the space for address multi colour advertisement is printed. Any corporate, government or semi government bodies, business houses etc. can place order for Meghdoot Post Card with their own design for advertisement. The rate of the advertisement is Rs. 2 per card to be paid by the advertiser.
